WEST AUSTRALIA DRILLING owns reliable borehole drilling rigs and pumping test rigs that are operating the DRC Congo. WAD is currently operating pneumatic percussion drilling, conventional mud rotary drilling and reverse circulation drilling including flooded hole reverse circulation drilling.

WAD is able to provides you with the following scope of works:

  • Drilling of production boreholes for water supply for mines and community.
  • Drilling of sentinel monitoring boreholes for mining water quality management.
  • Drilling of dewatering boreholes for mining operations and for civil construction operations.
  • Drilling for rapid installation of holes for mineral exploration water wells in consolidated formations.

  • Borehole pump testing to determine aquifer parameters, borehole efficiency, borehole sustainable yield and its abstraction schedules. Pump testing allows the selection of a appropriate pump size to be installed in the borehole.

A top drive progressive cavity pump is inserted to the required depth and driven by a diesel engine through a gearbox. This enables the tester to keep the pump output constant as the pumping head increases with the increase in drawdown.

Our pumps are capable of operating up to 200 meter depths, pumping volumes from 0.5 liters per second to a maximum of 60 liters per second.

  • Groundwater sampling and water quality assessment.
  • Borehole pump installation for mine dewatering and for water supply.
  • Rehabilitation of existing boreholes.
  • Supply of electrical and solar submersible pumps, water storage tanks, uPCV and steel borehole casing and water reticulation accessories.
